To ensure the implementation of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the wide celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahmudkhoja Behbudiy, the founder of the Turkestan Jadid movement, prominent writer and public figure, publisher and educator," the National Center for Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan has published the monograph "Mahmudkhoja Behbudiy. A Life Devoted to the Needs of the Nation" (Tashkent, 2025, 104 pages) by Dilorom Alimova, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and Chief Scientific Researcher.
This monograph is dedicated to the life, creative work, historical and political views of Mahmudkhoja Behbudiy, the leader of the Jadid movement in Turkestan, an educator, literary scholar, publisher, and politician. It sheds light on his activities for the freedom and progress of the nation and homeland, based on an analysis of his works and the journal "Oyna".
The significance of this monograph for the general public, especially the youth, is invaluable. For the first time, all of Mahmudkhoja Behbudiy’s thoughts and reflections related to the history of our homeland, expressed in his works, have been compiled in one volume.
