On March 26, 2021, at the National Center of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the branch of the center, the Samarkand Institute of Archeology, a reporting meeting was held on the results of archaeological studies carried out in 2020 on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Due to the pandemic, only about 15 expeditions were actively carried out on the territory of the republic. During the session, the results of the research, new scientific reports, the state of archaeological monuments, as well as issues and tasks put forward for the future were discussed in detail. The reports of the participants who made presentations at the session were analyzed, their shortcomings, as well as positive aspects, were noted, with a special emphasis on research carried out at an excellent level, the activities of the session were recognized as positive. Organizational and practical work on the beginning of the field research season 2021 was also discussed.
