Kuyun monument is located on the border of Pskent and Аhangaron districts of Tashkent region. Next to it is the Almalik - Telau road, and on the west side is the Ziyarat Parpiat route. The name Kuyun comes from the name of a nearby village.
The climate of Kuyun is moderate. Most precipitation falls in March, April and December (168 mm). The annual amount of precipitation in Kuyun is 376 mm. Average annual temperature (+20 ° C). The hottest month of the year is July, the average temperature is (+35℃). January is usually the coldest month, with an average temperature of 5℃. In 2018 researchers of the National Center of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan started the first archaeological research on Quyun and are still ongoing. During the archaeological work, materials related to the culture of Burgulyuk and Andronovo were found.
